Chore Allowance Rules
Each week (Friday to Thursday), you can earn money by completing these four chores:
1. Trash Containers
- Wheel the big trash and recycling bins to the street by 7am on Thursday morning: $1.00
- Wheel the bins back to their storage spot after pickup: $1.00
- Starting 2025 Dec 06, if the bins are stored backwards (making it harder to load them from the house) you lose $0.50.
- Total possible: $2.00
2. House Trash Management
- Keep the indoor trash from getting full all week: $3.00
- If the trash is full at the end of any day when it should have been emptied, you lose $1.00
- Lowest possible earnings: $0
3. Recycling Bin Management
- Keep the indoor recycling bin from getting full all week: $2.00
- If the recycling bin is full at the end of any day when it should have been emptied, you lose $1.00
- Lowest possible earnings: $0
4. Dishwasher Management
- Keep the dishwasher empty and ready to be loaded: $3.00
- If clean dishes are left in the dishwasher and block loading on any day, ...
- or if at the end of the day, clean dishes are left on the drying rack/pads, you lose $1.00
- Lowest possible earnings: $0
Important Notes
- Each week starts fresh on Friday
- You can't earn negative money for a chore
- Allowance is paid every Friday for the week prior.
